Nantucket Adventure

Only 14 miles long and 3.5 miles wide, the island of Nantucket is rich in history and alive with the sights and sounds of the sea.  Your day trip to Nantucket begins at 5:30 AM with a departure from Lizak Bus Company on Main Street in Warren.  We will sail at 9:15 AM from Hyannis and arrival at Steamship Wharf in Nantucket will be at 11:30.  Once on island, you will have ample time to take in sightseeing on your own, visit the newly rebuilt Whaling Museum, enjoy lunch at one of Nantucket’s legendary restaurants, or take in an afternoon of shopping.  One of the best ways to tour Nantucket is by bicycle.  Several Cycle Shops rent bicycles giving you the opportunity to explore some of Nantucket’s scenic bike paths.

Whether you are looking for a lobster roll and a cup of chowder to go, an ice cream at the wharf, or five-star dining, you can satisfy your appetites on Nantucket. This island has more fine-dining establishments per capita than many metropolitan areas, making dining out a popular pastime, especially in the summer months.  I have plenty of suggestions if you need help choosing a restaurant during your stay.

This trip to Nantucket includes round trip transportation to Hyannis via motor coach as well as round trip steamship passage to the island.  Arrival time in Nantucket will be at 11:30 AM and the return boat sails at 5:30 PM, leaving approximately 6 hours to enjoy the unique charms of Nantucket.  No meals are included.  The waterfront, beaches, shopping, restaurants and museums are all within walking distance of Steamship Wharf and the trip will take place rain or shine.
