Oktoberfest

Munich's Oktoberfest began as a wedding celebration for the Bavarian crown prince Ludwig to Princess Therese from Saxony-Hildburghausen on October 12, 1810. Today’s Oktoberfest takes place over sixteen days and is attended by over six million beer lovers from around the world. 

Our Oktoberfest will take place at Hunter Mountain in the North Catskills of New York and will feature authentic German and German-American entertainment.  The festival takes place both indoors and outdoors and also features a rock band with a view of the mountains, a farmer’s market, plenty of vendors, German food, burgers, and other snacks, and Munich’s own Spaten Bavarian beers.  Options include taking the chair-lift up the side of the mountain for an additional charge of nine dollars.  Enjoy a fest within the fest as Hunter Mountain brings you a WING FEST where you can sample the best wings in the state of New York.

We’ll depart from Lizak Bus Service in Warren and head for Hunter Mountain where we will arrive in time for the Oktoberfest opening at 11:30 Am.  We’ll stay for much of the day, leaving at 4:30 Pm and we’ll make a rest stop en route.  Ticket price is $69.00 and seats are available on a first-come; first served basis.  For more information, call Randall at (413) 436-5357 or email adventuretours@att.net.   The trip takes place rain or shine.
