It was in 1646 that Father Isaac Jogues first glimpsed this body of water he called “Lac du Sacrement”.  The 32-mile-long lake was later renamed in honor of King George II of England.  Its natural beauty has prompted many to term it “The Queen of America Lakes”.  Lake George played a strategic role in the French and Indian War and later in the American Revolution.  The lake has over 159 miles of shoreline and is studded with 179 islands.  It has a maximum width of three miles and reaches a depth of 187 feet.

Lake George is well known for its natural beauty, quality attractions, accommodations, fine dining, and a wide range of experiences.  Its waters keep visitors coming back year after year to cruise the lake in comfort.  Our classic ship is an integral part of the lake experience and offers an image of Lake George unlike any other.

Your day begins with departure from Lizak Bus Service as you board your coach for travel to Lake George Village where we will board our steamship, the Lac du Sacrement. We’ll enjoy a buffet lunch aboard. Our steamship ticket includes both narration and entertainment. After docking, you will have approximately an hour to shop.  We depart Lake George at 3:00 PM.  Our trip will take place rain or shine.
